OCA Global performs the energy audit based on Royal Decree 56/2016 of the Madrid Deep Space Communications Complex (MDSCC).
Located 60 km from Madrid, in the municipality of Robledo de Chavela, the MDSCC is a NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) and INTA (Instituto de Técnica Aeroespacial) facility that has been maintaining contact with space missions for more than 40 years.
With the beginning of the space race and the need to maintain permanent contact with space probes, NASA technicians created a network of points on Earth to be able to control all missions without the impediment of the Earth's rotational movement.
On our planet, the MDSCC in Madrid is one of the three NASA facilities in the world, together with the Pasadena center in California and the Canberra facility in Australia, from which different space missions have been monitored since its inauguration in 1964, being the Apollo XI mission one of the most representative, in which the human being stepped on the Moon.
Last February, OCA Global provided its services to help the MDSCC improve its energy efficiency, reduce its energy consumption and improve its environmental impact.
