OCA Global awared 2.5 year consulting contract to support Cariforum Member States

OCA Global will lead the implementation of the Capacity Building Consultancy on Competition, Government Procurement and Customs and Trade Facilitation to be launched in April 2023.

This initiative, under the 11th EDF EPA Program, aims to support the beneficial integration of the CARIFORUM States into the global economy by supporting the effective implementation of the CARIFORUM-EU Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA).

The project will be aligned with the regions' international commitments on customs and trade facilitation, investment, trade in services, innovation, intellectual property, competition and transparency in government procurement, as well as national and regional strategies for economic development and sustainable growth.

The Caribbean Community has awarded the OCA Global-led consortium the 2.5-year Technical Assistance contract that will provide a number of key CARIFORUM stakeholders with basic, intermediate and advanced level training in Competition, Government Procurement and Customs and Trade Facilitation. The project will also focus on raising awareness of the Parties' EPA commitments and the opportunities and benefits offered by the EPA for these topics.
