OCA Global participates in the quality control of Iberdrola's New Green Hydrogen Plant

OCA Global's recently opened Puertollano office has collaborated with assembly companies in the manufacture of Iberdrola's new green hydrogen plant in Puertollano.

Iberdrola, with its new green hydrogen production plant, will supply Fertiberia for the manufacture of ammonia. This facility will come into operation in 2023 and will produce 360 kilos of green hydrogen per hour, up to 3,000 tons per year, avoiding the emission of 48,000 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.

OCA GLOBAL has been involved in the project since the start of manufacturing in early 2021. The Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) division has collaborated with several of the companies involved in the manufacture and assembly of the new distribution lines by performing various NDT tests such as Visual Inspection (VT), Radiographic (RT) and Liquid Penetrant (PT).

In addition to non-destructive testing, OCA Global has carried out the final inspections and verifications of the equipment manufactured. This consolidated the company's presence as a reference inspection entity in the energy and petrochemical sector.
