Nascor Formación has designed and manages an animal-assisted intervention workshop for the Centro de Atención a Personas con Discapacidad Física de Leganés (Madrid), an organization that belongs to the Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030. Specifically, residents can interact with dogs to improve their physical, social, emotional and cognitive functions, as well as personal motivation.
The workshop, conducted by monitors, psychologists with at least three dogs, is composed of several activities. These include: cognitive stimulation and opportunities to interact with the physical and social environment; interesting, stimulating and challenging activities; as well as simple, personalized exercises suited to each person's abilities.
Nascor Formación is in charge of the therapy with dogs that have specific characteristics for the success of the project and the satisfaction of the residents. They must be balanced, non-aggressive, trainable, affectionate, cheerful and adaptable.
