The Sociedad Cooperativa de Transportes de Viajeros of El Hierro (TransHierro) is today the only passenger road transport company on the island of El Hierro, being the concessionaire of regular urban and intercity transport and providing services such as school, occasional and tourist transport.
One of TransHierro's most important objectives is to provide services of the highest quality; for this reason it has ISO 9001, 14001 and, recently, the new standard 45001 (former OHSAS 18001) certifications. With this, they take a step forward in terms of user safety.
Thus, in early November, TransHierro passed the certification audit of the specific regulations of Synergy Global Alliance led by Grupo Innovaris “Covid-19 safe trade inspection points program" by OCA Global, thus becoming the first company in its sector to hold such certification. This referential guarantees that TransHierro complies with the prevention and control measures against the transmission of diseases caused by biological agents, especially against Covid-19; and aims to provide security to employees, suppliers and users of its services.
In order to obtain the certification, a correct analysis of biological risks and action protocols that reduce these risks as much as possible have been demonstrated. These protocols, together with a contingency plan, provide evidence to ensure business continuity and reduce the risk of contagion for its users.
